Some years back, another person on FiveDoves and I wrote back and forth regarding whether Christians can lose their salvation.

And it was impressive how well the opposite view was presented.

Both of us used many scriptures to show why we believed what we did, and they were not cherry-picked scriptures, nor taken out of context.

After a few times, there was the realization that neither of us were going to be changing what the other believed.

So, I mentioned that because of this, there was not going to be a volley back that time.

It would appear that you and I may have found ourselves at a similar impasse.

Clearly, you strongly believe what you have presented.

No doubt you considered the scriptures presented to you, as well as those scriptures that Donna Danna presented to you.

And there appears to be others who believe similar to you, as demonstrated by their descriptions of their NDEs.

There is a reason why doctrinal differences are defended:

Titus 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

I Timothy 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

  13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

  16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

II Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

All differences of doctrine will dissolve at the judgment seat of Christ.

This includes the reasons why many do not believe the same about tongues, as well as the church as a local body, etc., and apparently what we have discussed, as well.
