So of
course, Jesus didn't call it
reincarnation because
reincarnation is not a belief
that is in the Bible.
Also there are no Near Death Experiences
(NDE) in the Bible that I know of, and
Paul wasn't sure if he was in his body or
if he had an Out of Body Experience (OBE)
like you had when he was taken to paradise
in the third heaven (2 Corin. 12:2-4)
During your OBE, you claim your spirit was
taken to heaven but your living body
remained in your bed. And no where
in the Bible does it say that after Jesus
took a living person's body and spirit to
heaven like Enoch in Gen. 5:21-24 and
Elijah in 2 Kings 2:11 that Jesus then
removed Elijah's spirit from his body
which was left in heaven and then placed
Elijah's spirit in John the Baptist body
before John was born on Earth. And
Elijah's spirit could not have been in 2
places (heaven and Earth) at the same time
or inside 2 different bodies (Elijah's
body & John the Baptist's body) at the
same time. Both Moses & Elijah were
seen talking to Jesus by the disciples on
the mountain when Jesus was transfigured
(Matt. 17:1-4) so Elijah's spirit could
not have been inside John the Baptist's
body at the same time that Elijah was seen
talking to Jesus on the mountain.
There are
familiar spirits which are demonic spirits
that can enter into a non-believer's body
and possess them, but both John the
Baptist and Elijah were not
non-believers. It is not impossible
for Jesus to keep Elijah alive with his
spirit inside of his body up in heaven
until Elijah is sent back to Earth as one
of the two witnesses in Revelation 11. And
after Elijah's 1,260 day ministry on
Earth, he will then die for the first time
along with the other witness. After
3 1/2 days both witnesses will be
resurrected from the dead and taken up to
heaven.
