The Gaza ceasefire is scheduled to begin on Sunday, January 19.

 

Already, Hamas isn't holding up their end of the deal - they were suppose to give Israel a list of the names of the hostages to be released on Sunday - they have not.  This may collapse the whole deal.  Hamas said they would release the name "in the coming hours."  So far, nothing in the news - and it's 0500 in Israel right now on Sunday.

 

The Otzma Yehudit members may not resign after all!  

 

If this deal collapses before it's even really begun...then it just wasn't in the big plans for Israel.  God is in the details.

 

Three Phases:

 

It will take place in phases. 

 

Phase One - the first six weeks - limited prisoner exchange, partial IDF withdrawal from Gaza, surge of aid into Gaza.  Thirty-three Israeli prisoners will be released.  "Israel will release a larger number of Palestinian prisoners during this phase, including prisoners serving life sentences. Among the Palestinians being released are around 1000 who were detained after October 7."  And Israel will allow Palestinians to return to their homes and up to 600 trucks per day will bring aid into Gaza.  Israel will allow wounded Palestinians to leave the Strip for treatment and Israel will open the Rafah crossing with Egypt.

 

The details of Phase Two and Three will be negotiated during Phase One.  Israel has made it clear that it has the right to return to the attacks once Phase One is complete and its civilians returned.  However, the three mediators - Egypt, Qatar, the U.S. - have quarantined Hamas that the other two phases will take place.

 

Phase Two will involve releasing the remaining Israeli live captives (mostly male soldiers) and more Palestinians will be released from Israeli jails. Israel will begin it's complete withdrawal from Gaza. - these have yet to be voted on by the Israeli cabinet.  Phase Three details are unclear - all the remaining bodies will be handed over to Israel and a reconstruction plan for Gaza will begin.  Other Arab countries are suppose to help with security.  Saudi Arabia said they will only support this if "there is a pathway to Palestinian statehood."

The deal calls for an exchange of hostages and prisoners.  Three female Israeli prisoners are to be released on the first day.  Netanyahu wanted a list of the hostages held by Hamas and "reserves the right to resume fighting if the deal falls apart."

 

There are 'believed' to be seven American hostages held in Gaza by Hamas.  "Three are presumed to be alive while four others have been confirmed dead but their remains are sill being held in Gaza.  Two of the Americans are set to be released in the "first six-week phase of the ceasefire." 

 

Israel will begin their gradual withdrawal "from specific locations and routes from within Gaza in accordance with the agreement."

 

President Trump warned again that "all hell will break loose if both parties do not uphold the ceasefire-hostage agreement."

 

Thirty-three hostages are expected to be released by Hamas in the first stage of the deal, but it remains unclear how many of them are living.  Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel "would maintain full control over the Philadelphi Corridor - the thin strip of land along the Gaza-Egypt border - and the security buffer zone surrounding the entire Gaza Strip."

Some Israelis are against this 'deal' -

 

The party leader of the Otzma Yehudit called the "hostage and ceasefire deal reckless."

 

The party members will be "submitting letters of resignation to the government on Sunday..."

 

The agreement with Hamas "involves the release of hundreds of murderers with the blood of men, women and children on their hands, the agreement sacrifices the IDF's achievements in the war, includes the withdrawal of IDF forces from Gaza and halts the fighting in Gaza.  It is nothing less than a surrender to Hamas.."

I agree with the Yehudit members.  And in EVERY negotiation with Islamic terrorists, Israel has had to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.  These are not innocent civilians but militants attacking Israel and Israeli citizens.   

 

Israel should not have to release Palestinian prisoners in the deal.  Taking civilians hostage is a war crime.  Period.  Yet, Hamas gets a 'get out of jail free' card!  Israel will be required to release almost 2,000 Palestinians prisoners.  A list of Israeli/American prisoner's names - dead and alive - should be a given.  Supposedly, Hamas is suppose to turn over that list by 9:00 AM ET on Saturday. And a two-state solution should not be any part of Phase Two or Three.

 

No Hostage List - No Deal:

 

As of Saturday evening, no list has materialized.  Netanyahu said that "Israel will not tolerate violations of the agreement.  Without the list of names, Israel would not continue to implement the agreement ratified by its government early on Saturday, he warned...Under the agreement, Hamas must inform Israel 24 hours in advance of the names of the hostages to be handed over.  Three civilian women kidnapped from Israel are to be released first, Israeli media reported."

Any deal with Biden, Blinken and Sullivan involved is going to be a bad deal for Israel.  Trump's people shouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole!

 

This deal tells Hamas they can attack Israel and take hostages and in the end - they'll get thousands of Palestinians prisoners released, some 600 trucks a day to help resupply and rearm them for free, free reconstruction and rebuilding, and they can regroup and prepare for the next assault on Israel.  Wash, rinse and repeat.

 

Personally, I don't see Hamas keeping the ceasefire - when they've gotten what they wanted - they will be back at it.

 

The Biden traitors didn't even require Hamas to remove 'from the river to the sea' from Hamas' Charter!!  That's a BIG problem.

 

Every time Israel has been close to destroying an Islamic terrorist organization - the U.S. pulls them back.  Demands a ceasefire - and then Israel pays out through the nose -
