Dear Doves,

I recently heard that the term “alien rapture” might be used to explain our disappearance in the real Rapture.  According to Scripture this is not even a possibility.  If you read John 10:27-30: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.    My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.  I and my Father are one.”

The word “pluck” here is “harpazo” in Greek, the word currently used to describe a rapture event.  So, we are safe in the hands of Jesus and the Father.  Imagine being cupped inside of the Hands of both Jesus and the Father.  No one or no thing can rapture us from those Hands.

We do not need to fear a mass abduction by aliens.  No one has the power to rapture us from God. We are His.  Someday, we will hear the voice of our Shepherd and we will follow Him into eternity.

Rest assured, there is no such thing as an alien rapture.  Only Jesus can and will take His own from this world.
