Take a look at 1 Corinthians 15:20-24. It states:
20 But
now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the
firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For
since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection
of the dead.
22 For
as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made
alive.
23 But
every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then
cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the
kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put
down all rule and all authority and power.
Count
the three orders of the resurrections. (1)
Christ the first fruits, (2) they that are Christ’s at his
coming, and (3) then comes the end. There are three
orders.
They
follow the three pilgrimage feasts of (1) Unleavened bread
during which we have First Fruits, (2) Pentecost and (3)
Tabernacles. Jesus was resurrected on
the Festival of First Fruits during the Feast of
Unleavened Bread. The Church will be resurrected and
raptured on Pentecost, the harvest following first
fruits. Then comes the end when the Tribulation
saints will be resurrected. In verse 24 “the
end” occurs in Revelation 20:4-5. It states:
4 And
I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his
image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ
a thousand years.
5 But
the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand
years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
There
are three orders to the first resurrection. They
follow the symbolism of three of the Lord’s feasts.
Why
is the Church in Pentecost when everybody believes
Pentecost was fulfilled? Because the fullness of our
salvation occurs in two stages: (1) deposit of the
Holy Spirit at belief, and (2) redemption of the purchased
possession, our bodies, at his coming at the fullness of
the Gentiles. The bodily redemption happens on
Pentecost because we possess the first fruits of Christ.
For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also
holy. (Romans 11:16) Our holiness is in Christ. We
are the grain field Jesus planted in this age. It is
from this harvest which originates from Christ’s first
fruits that the bread of life takes shape in us. We are a
“kind of his first fruits”, quoting James 1:18, the kind
which will be converted from grain seeds into His Bread.
We are in the body of Christ.
