(That was certainly a pertinent, needful, and very practical subject for these times, especially if we are in the last of the last days. You did a very good job of addressing the Romans 7 questions, thank you.I really enjoyed how you made it clear, from the scriptures, that we can only do right by the Spirit of the LORD.Additionally, I really agree with something else that you wrote:)
Remember that we are in the end time, you manage your life, your time, your priorities. Make good decisions!
(You also, twice stressed what we are not make of the grace of God, similar to the following:)
Jude 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Peter 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
(Have I been guilty of this? Yes, at times, I have been.Have I also been guilty of what you described about trying to do without the Spirit? Yes.Have I been guilty of the hypocrisy that you wrote of? Sadly, yes, I have.)
(But, thank the LORD, like you also pointed out, there is grace and repentance, if I so choose to avail myself of those gifts so willingly offered of the LORD.)
(Regarding believers: to be saved, we needed to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus:)
Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
I John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
(So, when Jesus says:)
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(It seems they were never saved, therefore, not believers, because believers on Jesus have eternal life. So, are these false "believers", like the tares that you wrote of, a few weeks back?Did they ever really believe? Did they merely pretend so, with their mouths?)
