(Should we live differently, because of his calling?)

I Thessalonians 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

II Timothy 1:9a Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling,

I Thessalonians 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

II Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

(Because he is calling us to come even closer to him:)

Hebrews 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

(And it doesn’t stop there, because Jesus’ calling, is for us, a heavenly calling:)

Hebrews 3:1b partakers of the heavenly calling,

(Someday Jesus will actually call us to come up to him:)

Revelation 4:1b and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither,

(Then the calling continues, to follow Jesus back down to the earth, to be with him at his second advent:)

Revelation 17:14c  and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
