THE 'OLIVET DISCOURSE' IS A CHRONOLOGICAL TIMELINE OF EVENTS.............

The Lord's Olivet Discourse is the Lord's chronological timeline of events leading up to 'THE SIGN' OF THE APPROACHING  'LAST DAY' .  The 'LAST DAY' is the DAY OF REDEMPTION of our natural bodies in exchange for our Spiritual bodies which can then enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  It is THE DAY of the resurrection & rapture of His Elect Body of Christ Church . 

Jesus was asked a question in the following Scripture :

Luke 21:7

"And WHAT SIGN WILL THERE BE when these things come to pass? "  ( How do those who falsely teach that the resurrection & rapture is an 'imminent' event reconcile it with this Scripture ? ) 

Jesus then proceeded to give His Olivet Discourse chronological timeline of events beginning with ( Luke 21:8 through Luke 21:36 ). When Jesus came to ( Luke 21:20 through Luke 21:31 ) He was speaking of THE SIGN of His coming to resurrect & rapture His Elect Body of Christ Church according to :

Luke 21:20 ( Jesus speaking )

"WHEN YOU SHALL SEE Jerusalem surrounded WITH ARMIES ( Gog-Magog Armies ), THEN KNOW that the DESOLATION thereof is NEAR." ( This is THE SIGN we are told to watch for.)

Luke 21:28  ( Jesus speaking )

"WHEN these things BEGIN to come to pass , THEN look up and lift up your heads ( to see 'THE SIGN ' ) , for YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWS NEAR."

Luke 21:31  ( Jesus speaking )

"So likewise WHEN YOU SEE these things come to pass ( The Gog-Magog War in Israel ) , KNOW that the KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR AT HAND."

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT ;

In His Olivet Discourse Jesus gave us 'THE SIGN'  we are to watch for to alert us to the NEARING OF 'THE LAST  DAY' which is THE DAY OF OUR REDEMPTION , ie The Day of our resurrection & rapture.

Jesus tells us THAT SIGN is the desolation of Jerusalem by the Gog-Magog Armies according to : ( Luke 21:20 )  & ( Luke 21:28 )  & ( Luke 21:31 ) cited above.
