Biden et al have really been pushing EVs on
the American public. This is being driven by the Paris
Climate Accords and net zero emissions. And the
federal government and state governments are giving tax
credits, etc. to lower the cost of these
vehicles...without these taxpayer paid for "incentives"
many EV owners wouldn't even consider trading in their
internal combustion engine for an EV. These vehicles
are still pretty costly.
But maybe the auto makers aren't all on
board....it's obvious the infrastructure isn't there and
the EV batteries are a problem in many, many ways.
"GM said $854 million will be spent to make
the sixth-generation small-block V8, and $64 million to
help EV production.......GM says it intends to use this
investment in the V8 engine to "strengthen its
industry-leading full-size truck and SUV business....GM
expects to still be selling a lot of gas trucks and SUVs
for years to come, likely in part because towing range in
electric vehicles still sucks."
So what problems do EVs have? A
biggee is fires - that can't be extinguished easily.
They just keep burning.
"A Norwegian shipping company has banned
electric cars on its ferries because according to a risk
analysis, the risk of fire from such vehicles is too
great. An ocean liner had recently sunk because of
it."
..."The risks for ships from the transport of
electric cars has been discussed since the Felicity Ace
sank off the Azores last February. E-vehicles on
board had caught fire and the blaze could not be
extinguished. Finally, the huge ship sank with
thousands of electric cars and vehicles from Porsches and
Bentleys."
Plus there is the problem of plugging in
during 'peak electricity' use, using the defrost during
the winter, using windshield wipers, heating the seats,
using the A/C, running the heater, opening and closing the
windows, etc. - all take electricity and decrease the
efficiency of the engine and decrease mileage per
charge. Plus finding charging units scattered around
the country limits where one can drive.

what the Bide Administration and state governments pushing
for the EV change over won't:
Physicist Mark Mills of the Manhattan
Institute thinks EVs are amazing. "But it
won't change the future in any significant way with
respect to oil use or carbon dioxide emissions."
The world could go to 500 million EVs - that
would reduce world oil consumption by about 10%. But
it doesn't end the use of oil. Most American
electricity comes from gas and coal. 500,000
pounds of mineral and rock are needed to make ONE
BATTERY! The pollution from this is
tremendous. Mining is a dirty business.
Production for one EV has already emitted 10 to 20 tons
of carbon dioxide before the owner of the new vehicle
even gets it to his driveway from the sales lot.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is produced by the mining,
manufacturing, and shipping. VW reported that
driving the EV for the first 60,000 miles will have
emitted more CO2 than a conventional vehicle. You
have to drive it for at least 100,000 miles before you get
to "reduced emissions of 20 to 30%".

Storing large amounts of electricity is
difficult - batteries leak and don't hold a lot.
Oil has about 5,000% more energy in it per pound than an
EV battery. An EV battery weights about
1,000 pounds. It's replacing about 80 pounds of
gasoline. Batteries can't be made better
than the laws of physics allow.
You need $100 trillion worth in
batteries to store up the same amount of energy Europe
has in stores now for this winter and it would take the
world's battery factories 400 years to make these
batteries. No one tells us this.
California will require all vehicles to be EVs at some
point. California told EV owners not to charge their
vehicles during 'peak' hours last summer.
"Roughly speaking, you have to double
your electric grid to move the energy out of gasoline
into the electric sector. No one is planning to
double the electric grid in California. So there
will be rationing." Cities will simply
turn some of the power off. We just don't have
enough electricity. And if we try to get all of our
electricity from solar and wind...there won't be nearly
enough electricity. Switching out coal and natural
gas for solar and wind is "infantile" thinking. Our
energy systems are being designed by bureaucrats instead
of engineers resulting in worse energy, more expensive
energy and higher environmental impact.

So it looks like the American automakers
aren't totally on board with this nonsense. Their
engineers can figure this out. And automakers don't
like being bullied by the Biden Administration.
Toyota's CEO said that Toyota will not switch to EVs until
they see the infrastructure in the U.S. That's a
common sense move.
The Biden Administration, World Economic
Forum, and John Kerry/Al Gore's of the world will continue
to scream and yell until they get their way. IF they
push us into the digital dollar and individual carbon
footprint monitoring...they will push us into EVs and
rationing of electricity. The ultimate goal is
depopulation - there are too many people for 'their'
world.
Hopefully, we'll be gone before they get this
much control over the people.
