It's long over due to stop the purchase of U.S. land by enemy states. Lawmakers in the U.S. should pass such legislation at the federal level to stop the foreign purchases of land in the U.S. by citizens/corporations of countries that are enemies of the U.S. - like China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, etc.And land purchases next to military bases have recently been blocked by states...not the federal government.The Agriculture Commissioner of Texas Miller favors such a ban saying..."If we can't buy farmland in your country, you're not buying any here.""Foreign entities own more land in Texas than any other state, with more than 4.7 million acres of Texas land..." "Commissioner Miller points to an alleged threat from a business with a Chinese chairman that tried to purchase a wind farm in Val Verde County near Laughlin Air Force Base." "It tried to purchase 140,000 acres to build a wind farm, but Texas blocked them." (The wind farm was then going to hook into the Texas electric grid.)Opposition to this ban is based on the possibility that China will retaliate by stopping their purchases of Texas oil, wheat, corn and soybeans. (I believe national security should come first - the Texas goods can be sold to other countries.)I remember reading about this CCP owned company several years ago. It has the deceptive name, "GH America Energy LLC". The sell of 140,000 acres to the CCP was not blocked.. What was blocked was this company's ability to hook into the Texas electric grid.Senator Ted Cruz got involved in this CCP problem in Texas - "The Chinese Communist Party has demonstrated time and again they're willing to invest billions of dollars to expand their espionage capabilities and their global reach, including through land purchase schemes near military bases."So, if the federal government doing anything about this? Biden says that China is our friend. That's a big problem right there.Congressman Chip Roy reintroduced his bill "Securing America's Land from Foreign Interference Act. Roy said, "There is no reason we should allow one of our greatest adversaries - the Chinese Communist Party - to buy up land in the United States....China is not our friend; they want to dominate us and destroy our way of life; we need to wake up and start acting like it."South Dakota is now looking at a bill to be able to approve or deny foreign land purchases. Florida and Texas are considering the same.This problem may end up being addressed at the state level only, as the majority in the Senate doesn't want to stop China from doing anything in the U.S. - from stealing our technology, to infiltrating our education system, to stealing our elections, to having too much influence over Biden and his crime family.Chip Roy's bill directs "the President to take such actions as may be necessary to prohibit the purchase of public or private real estate located in the United States by members of the Chinese Communist Party and entities that are under the ownership, control, or influence of the Chinese Communist Party."
