On January 9th of 2023 the Army Corps of Engineers released a large amount of water from ‘Success Lake’ above my hometown here in California. They were concerned about the future runoff from all the mountain rains and future snow melt. The sheriff's department flew a helicopter over the path of the river below the dam. They used their loud speaker to warn the homeless people living along its banks of the incoming flood of water.
Several years ago the Army Corps of Engineers did an inspection of this earthen dam because it was leaking. They bought up land below the current dam and were going to build a second dam. The money dried up so they changed their mind and said the dam was safe. For the last two years they have been raising the spillway level to hold even more water. The project will raise both the spillway and the rock slope protection by 10 feet, bringing their height to 662.5 feet and 665.25 feet above sea level, respectively. It is ridiculous. 665.25 feet is 9 inches shy of 666 feet.
On January 10th of 2023 there was a 3.2 earthquake centered directly below ‘Success Lake’. God only knows what will happen next. 37 is the 3rd Star of David number.
