I have watched this 1959 movie, "On the Beach", many, many times through the years.   I first saw it when I was 9 years old.   It had a huge impact upon me then, and I believe it was the very first seed planted in me by the Lord on my way to getting born again in 1979.   If you are not familiar with this verse, go read Zechariah 14:12, which precisely describes the effects of a nuclear war!   Thankfully this will not happen until after the upcoming Rapture!

P.S.   Gregory Peck is the Captain of an American nuclear sub.   The movie opens just after a nuclear war in the northern hemisphere, and no life remains there, so Gregory Peck's sub heads south to Australia which was not affected by the war.   But...... the radiation is slowly heading over the equator south towards Australia, and they only have around five months left..............

P.P.S.   This is a great movie for everyone on a Saturday night!   Yes, this is by no means a joyful movie (LOL!), but I believe it is a must see movie for anyone with an interest in end time Bible prophecy!   I cannot even begin to count the times that I have seen this movie through the years, but I guess because I teach end time Bible prophecy I never tire of watching it!   Gregory Peck's performance is magnificent!   So, after watching a movie about nuclear war and reading Zechariah 14:12, where do we have hope?   Our hope in this life and in gaining eternal life is only through Christ, Who is and always has been Israel's Messiah!   Micah 5:2, Psalm 22:14-18, and all of Isaiah 53!   Only through Him is there hope and the promise of eternal life when this life is over!   For Jew and gentile alike there is no other way!

P.P.P.S.   Bring out the popcorn and settle in for an amazing movie!   And the music is great!   "Waltzing Matilda!"   And if you are Jewish I pray that you take strong heed to those Old Testament verses that I just quoted!   Humans may lie, but God does not lie!
