"High Watch Date :Hanukkah - December or January ?"

There is a question relating to this year , 2021 , is the Jewish calendar off , in error by a month ? Is Hanukkah already passed or just ahead ?

As I understand it, the Jewish calendar should be set to begin by the sighting of the new moon on Nisan 1. If the weather, cloud cover, prevents sighting of a new moon for two days , then the calendar should add an extra month of Adar that year. However , the Jews do not follow this requirement and instead pick what years --7 out of every 19 years gets the added month of Adar--- They pick the years so they can control their schedules rather than let God select the years to add the additional month via the weather on Nisan 1. Apparently, this year the calendar is off by that month. So Hanukkah correctly should begin December 29 and end on January 9th....Hanukkah is ahead..

There are numerous connections pointing to Hanukkah as a high watch date. Let us hope. See the next post and Pastor Sandy's link
