"Will the false prophet wear a rough garment to deceive?"

(Did false prophets wear a rough garment to deceive?)

Zechariah 13:4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:

(Why would a false prophet wear a rough garment to deceive?)

II Kings 1:8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.

Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

(Do not the devil, the antichrist, and the false prophet know that Israel is expecting Elijah to come?)

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

(And don't they know that John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah?)

Luke 1:17a And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias,

(Is it possible that the false prophet will present himself as Elijah, with fire from heaven, like with the actual Elijah?)

Revelation 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

(Also, like John the Baptist pointed to Jesus, won’t the false prophet point to the antichrist?
Could it be the desire to deceive Israel into receiving the antichrist, since the devil wants to accomplish the following?)

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
