In the link are headlines that read:- "Hamas meets with Iran; calls for all Islamic, Arab countries to unite in war against Israel". This war is edging ever closer. In the 2nd and 3rd links, I hope to be able to show you how Psalm 83 is a prayer for help and intervention by Almighty God and that Isaiah 17 is His reply to that prayer.

Psalm 83 is a prayer, pleading with God to intervene against the attacks by the surrounding Islamic nations. These nations have conspired to totally destroy Israel as a nation. They want to take possession of the pasturelands of God. A huge pointer that this prayer is answered in Isaiah 17 can be seen in the following:
Psalm 83:13 - "Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind".
Isaiah 17:3 answers this prayer with, " Although the peoples roar like the roaring of surging waters, when He rebukes them, they flee far away - driven before the wind like chaff on the hills. Like tumbleweed before a gale".
The Psalm 83 war results in the prophecy against Damascus in Isaiah 17. Although Israel wins this vicious war (and it WILL be frighteningly vicious) Israel be battered and fragile. Many people will have been killed on both sides. Damascus gets completely annihilated and the cities of the other attacking countries will have become rubble too. A key point to note here is that Israel wins this war! And although she is battered and bruised, she has defeated the marauding muslim nations. Take another look at the nations in the Psalm 83 war and then ask yourselves how incredibly wealthy this will leave Israel? Israel will have control of vast oil reserves and much of the Mediterranean coastline. Through pacts and agreements, Israel will pretty much control the narrative around the Strait of Hormuz and the Suez Canal. Any surrounding nations will be left frightened of Israel and eager to make peace and co-operate with her. Israel feels secure after this war. She has smacked her enemies and rendered the proxy armies of Iran as mere dust beneath her feet. Israel has no more need of walls and gates because all the threats against her have been obliterated.
