However, sexual fornication is also
considered to be unrighteousness. 1 Thess.
4:3-4, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should
abstain from fornication: That every
one of
you should
know how
to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;"
Also all sin is considered
unrighteousness, and there are a number of sins
that would keep a person from inheriting the
kingdom of God unless they repent.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves
with mankind Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Galatians 5:19-21, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of
the which I
tell you before, as I
have also told you in
time past, that they
which do such
things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
Six of the seven Christian churches
in the gentile nation of Turkey in the book of
Revelation were told to repent, and specifically
Jezebel in the church of Thyatira in Rev.
2:20-23 and those who committed adultery with
her were going to go through great tribulation
if they didn't repent. Romans 2:9-10 also
says, "Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the
Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to
every man that
worketh good, to the
Jew first, and also to the
Gentile: For there
is no respect
of persons with God."
So a born again
Christian who is back slidden would
not want to remain in a state of
unrepentance should the Lord come
unexpectedly and leave him or her
behind at the Rapture. They
will be weeping and gnashing their
teeth when left behind, but
hopefully they will see the truth of
the scriptures about the Rapture
that has taken place taken place so
that they will repent and not
worship the beast nor his image and
they will heed the warning in the
book of Revelation and die for their
faith in order to go to heaven.
As for the Christian who
committed fornication with his
step-mother in 1 Corinthians 5:1
& 5 and who was delivered to
Satan for the destruction of the
flesh so that his spirit might be
saved in the day of our Lord Jesus
Christ which would give him time to
repent, there were two others in the
church that were delivered to Satan
so that they would learn not to
blaspheme. They were Hymenaeus
and Alexander according to 1 Timothy
1:18-20.
