In the passage of Isaiah 21:11 It is a burden of Dumah, and he calls to the Lord out of Seir. The land of Esau. And Dumah calls to "me" the Lord, Watchman, What of the night? Watchman, What of the night?
It is not unusual that God speaks once, yea, twice. Job 33:14. Yet man perceiveth it not. God has spoken Once, yea Twice exampled by the Old and New Testament.
The question I am posed with is this; Who, ultimately is "the" Watchman?
and How do we apply this to our Watch?
Yes, we are told to Watch, by our Lord Jesus. Mark 13:37. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Why?
Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what "hour" your Lord doth come. At even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
These are the watches.
The day and "hour" that no man knoweth, is the day and hour that Heaven and Earth shall pass away. The Father only knows that day and hour.
So back to my question: Who ultimately is "the" Watchman?
"the," being a specific Watchman.
According to your passage in Isaiah 21:11, Dumah is addressing "the" Watchman of the night, which is the Lord himself.
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are One as we know.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Ghost: and these three are One.
Of these three, Who is "the" Watchman?
We know the Son/Word setteth at the right hand of the Father right Now.
Both these are seated. The Holy Ghost is ministering here on Earth, and is also in heaven. He who now letteth, will let UNTIL he be taken "out of the way" THEN shall the wicked be revealed, the son of perdition. The Holy Ghost dwells within us, the born again of the Spirit of God. We know him...as The Comforter, and Jesus told us the Comforter will bring to our remembrance all that he has spoken unto us. John 14:26
Let me show you by scripture clearly that the Holy Ghost is "the" Watchman.
The Holy Ghost is "the" porter.
We know our Lord spoke in parables, Yes?
Mark 13:34 For the Son of man (Christ) is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave "authority" to his servants, and to every man his work, and "commanded" the porter the Watch.
John 10:2 But he that entereth in by "the door" is the shepherd of the sheep
3) To "him" (the porter openeth;) and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them "out". 4) And when "he" putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth "before" them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5) And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of a strangers.

He commanded the porter to Watch!
In my study of these things, I asked the Lord; Lord, who is the porter?
And the Holy Ghost that dwells within me answered; I AM
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
I AM hath sent I AM, the Holy Ghost, unto us and our/the Comforter which is the porter, and is commanded to Watch. He will let/ watch, until HE be taken "out" of the way.
The way of what? The wrath of God, which is to come upon all the wicked, the children of disobedience.
Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Who are the "other" sheep in John 10:16, which are not of "this" fold, which He, the good Shepherd must bring?
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek/Gentile: for the same Lord over all is rich unto "all" that call upon him.
Ephesians 1:5 and Ephesians 1:11
Predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ unto himself.
