Like all of you - I was hoping for the rapture on New Year. BONG - the clock would go - and we would all be changed. BUMMER - it didn't happen.

I then scrolled through the same old, dreary news. Is it ever good? One headline after another just wears us down. Nasty people doing nasty things to each other. The abortion mill. The killing going on in the Middle East. The butchery and slaughter of war. Never ending bloody war.

These wretched people who lead our countries.... there are no words. They are all pretty damn useless. No wonder our Father God chastised Israel when they prayed for earthly leaders. Almighty God told them they would get what they prayed for... BUT, they would regret....bitterly ... for the consequences. I am guessing you can tell I am angry !! I am furious at the incompetence and corruption of our world leaders. It is a disgrace.

In 1 Samuel 8, the people asked for an earthly king and the LORD warned them of the consequences. See the link below. God told them they would become slaves as a consequence. Did they listen? Obviously not.

We need to see the wood for the trees. Nobody - Not Pres. Trump or Biden or Bojo are going to lead the world's people. NONE of them are worthy. Not one. We need to hold on for Jesus.

And, here we all sit. In lock-down. Knowing we are being sabotaged, yet feeling rather helpless. This situation took us all by surprise. We did not have the benefit of preparing. Saying that - scripture does warn us that perilous times would come. I would question God about this curve ball but I keep remembering Job. Ours is NOT to question why. It just is. And therein lies the child-like trust that Almighty God expects from us.

It's hard. We have to trust. We have to plod on.

Pray hard for the peace of Jerusalem. Hold firm to the EXACT word of God.
