I appreciated your New Year's Prayer
especially because it encourages us to be strong
when challenged.
To me, we are now realizing that we have
turned a bend in the road along our spiritual journey.
Times have changed. We need to be more
pro-active ----along with God's grace---to be overcomers.
Overcoming is mentioned
8 times in the Book of Revelation. Seven
times to the Churches and then once more near the end in
Rev. 21:7.
Each one implies, to me, that
self-discipline plays an active part in overcoming along
with God's grace.
"He that overcomes will inherit all things."
The irony is that the more we get tired
toward the end, the more we need to double up our efforts
to overcome the resistence, or reluctance.
That is why when Doves send in notes of
encouragement, such as yours, it is like a B12
shot...a wind in our sails.
