“Is the Rapture Designated to Happen on the Sabbath”

Garry:

No, the Resurrection/Rapture Event will not be a Sabbath day “Event”.  It will not be on the Jewish Saturday Sabbath.  It will be on a Holyday Convocation, a Feast of the Lord. (Leviticus 23:2) The seven festivals of the Lord are “the shadow of things to come”.  (Colossians 2:16-17) Jesus was resurrected on the 8th day symbolizing a “new beginning”.  He was resurrected on Sunday, at the Festival of First Fruits when the Temple Priests were offering up the “sheaf of grain” to God.  Jesus was represented as the “seed which had to die to produce much fruit”. (John 12:24)  Study God’s use of the number 8.

The Event will take place at a day and hour known to God.  It will occur on a future Pentecost, a Holyday. Pentecost is one of the three pilgrimage feasts given in Leviticus 23. (Exodus 34:22)

Pentecost has not been fulfilled in typology.  The two loaves wave offering (Leviticus 23:17) has never been fulfilled.  The two loaves represent the Church’s resurrection and rapture.  The Church is the fruit represented as “bread” received from the “personified bread of life Jesus”.  (John 6:48)  One loaf represents the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the other loaf the rapture of the living in Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:20-28)

Today, nobody knows how to calculate the pilgrimage feast of Pentecost.  All we can stay is that it will be in the Spring time, before Summer.
