I tried to research your question in google but nothing illuminating came up. It seems you are the first person to question this !!
I lay great store and faith in Natan's visit to heaven and his subsequent testimony to the world. I truly believe that the Temple will descend from heaven. It will not be a man-made Temple. Like John in Revelation 4, Natan was taken to heaven to receive prophecy. John said in Rev 4 that he was summoned to heaven by a voice sounding like a trumpet, that said, "Come up here". A door was opened in heaven to receive him (a portal, perhaps?).
It seems obvious that the Temple that was being measured in Rev 4, is in heaven. No doubt. John and the angel were in heaven, weren't they? And, it is this Temple that will descend upon the earth for our LORD Jesus to rule from. It makes sense when you really ponder on it. A heavenly built Temple will be to God's exact specifications. Not defiled by secular human workmen on earth. THIS will be THE Temple that the entire earth has been waiting for.
