In my opinion I don't think drones are the locusts in Rev. 9 because why would drones be locked up in a bottomless pit and have a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon (The Angel of Death) and in Greek Apollyon (The Destroyer). It sounds like the angel of the bottomless pit is a fallen angel who is a king over other fallen angels or demonic beings who also are locked up until an appointed time.
