There are two reasons there will not be a new temple on the mount. 1- the mount could no longer hold
the weight. 2- Jesus said HE will build the next temple

Amo 9:11   In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
Act 15:16   After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

Act 15:17   That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

And then scripture says this...When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
LET THE READER UNDERSTAND...if there was a temple and the anti sat in it..what would need to be understood?  I believe there is more to it.. SO we have this........
