"RE: Eaglet: 01.14.18"

Eaglet,
Thank you for responding.
I have wondered about the shortening of the days via reduced number of hours per day.
That would most likely limit the effect of the plague where men are scorched:

Revelation 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

However, I was not able to see how reducing the number of hours per day would limit the effect of the other plagues:
The four horsemen, great mountain cast into the sea, rivers & fountains of water becoming blood,
the sea becoming as the blood of a dead man, Wormwood, horses with lion heads with fire from their mouths, etc.
So, I was never quite able to nail down how this scripture:

Revelation 8:12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

Fulfills this scripture:

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Except for that one plague in Revelation 16:8-9, shown above.
What have you been able to determine regarding this?
