"The law of
circumcision and the law of sabbath was our schoolmaster
to bring all to Christ Jesus"
The law of circumcision and the
law of sabbath was our schoolmaster to bring all to Christ
Jesus.
These two laws and doing the deeds of these commandments could
not be kept.
Verily, these laws are proof the law would be broken and they
are meant to be a schoolmaster to bring all to Christ Jesus.
Consider these 2 laws that could not be kept; For if one was
kept the other was broken:
1). No servile work on a sabbath day (weekly 7th day and other
sabbath days) and,
2). The law of circumcision which is a required work to be
performed on the 8th day.
Many 8th days of the law of circumcision were also on the law of
the sabbath day.
If the circumcision was performed on the 8th day and such a day
was a sabbath, the sabbath was broken.
If the sabbath was observed on the 8th day for circumcision,
then the law of circumcision was broken.
We cannot be saved by doing the works of the law.
We can only be saved by faith and the workmanship which is done
only by Christ Jesus.

CHAPTER 28
25 And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye
shall do no servile work.
26 ¶ Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new
meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall
have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work:

CHAPTER 12
AND the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children
of Israel, saying,
If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she
shall be unclean
seven days; according to the days of the separation for her
infirmity shall she be unclean.
3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be
circumcised.

10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one
point, he is guilty of all.

CHAPTER 3
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for
if there had been a
law given which could have given life, verily righteousness
should have been by
the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the
promise by faith ofJesus Christ might be given to them that
believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up
unto the faith which
should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto
Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a
schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put
on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male
nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs
according to the promise.

CHAPTER 10
MOREOVER, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how
that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed
through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of
that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was
Christ.

CHAPTER 9
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness,
hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it
were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that
stumblingstone;
33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and
rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be
ashamed.

4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but
the just shall live by his faith.

CHAPTER 2
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law,
but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus
Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and
not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall
no flesh be justified.
THE EPISTLE OF PAUL THE APOSTLE TO THE ROMANS.
CHAPTER 4
WHAT shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to
the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to
glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was
counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace,
but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that
justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto
whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and
whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or
upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned
to Abraham for righteousness.
10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in
uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the
righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised:
that he might be the father of all them that believe, though
they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed
unto them also:
12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the
circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith
of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was
not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the
righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made
void, and the promise made of none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is
no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the
end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only
which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of
Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many
nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth
the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they
were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the
father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So
shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body
now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet
the deadness of Sara’s womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but
was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was
able also to perform.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was
imputed to him;
24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe
on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for
our justification.
CHAPTER 3
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
CHAPTER 6
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
CHAPTER 3
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in
his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of
sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he
might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in
Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of
works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the
Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by
faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea,
we establish the law.

CHAPTER 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in
them.

WOE to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take
counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not

trust in the shadow

HO, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his
thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have

8 ¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways
