I've also been wondering, isn't the sabbath kind of a picture of the gospel?
With creation, the LORD did all the work and then rested.
Isn't the sabbath, like the gospel, defiled by our works?
In fact, for the gospel, works are strictly forbidden, like Ephesians 2:8-9 & also Titus 3:5.
So then, keeping the sabbath isn't work, because the sabbath is not of works?
Actually isn't it the only commandment that cannot be a work?
Isn't it that works were a violation of the sabbath, the same as works are also now a violation of the gospel?
