Hello, John and
Doves,
To answer this question, we consider the 7 sayings on the
Cross, and one of His comments stands out immediately.
Let us consider Psalm 22 from a purely Jewish
[non-messianic] point of view.
Even here, we see room for Jesus to have represented
everyone who has found himself/herself in a pickle, or even
a relish chopper!
The Church has been welcomed into the fold called
Israel. Since all salvation must conform to Torah [or
it is invalid], we see that this is so. And yet, God's
chosen, the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob [The Bride of
Christ is associated only with Abraham.] will yet be
redeemed, for the Blood is timeless.
~Blessings,
