Although the article (linked below) is depressing and all too real, it does not make allowances for the human spirit and sense of humour. Nor does it make any allowances for the indwelt Holy Spirit of God - residing in believers on this earth.
When Oswald Mosely tried to emulate Hitler - Mussolini et al, he thought he was onto a winner. His Black Shirt brigade would march through the streets, goose stepping - fierce expressions on their faces etc. I read a brilliant historical piece that laid out the nail in the coffin for Mosley and his wannabe army. The great British sense of humour !!! At first, ordinary people were taken aback at the sight of this scary, fascist army - marching down the streets, a la Nazi's. It didn't take long for people to start chortling at the sight. Chortling turned into side splitting guffaws of laughter at the sight of these ridiculous men, behaving like children. Playing "dress up". This mockery was more powerful than any bullet or bomb. Mosley became a laughing stock.
The news is dire. The media inflame our fear. We shouldn't be so frightened and despondent. We have Almighty God. His Son, Jesus. Our LORD and Saviour. We have also been gifted with common sense as well as humour. Evil is clumsy and ridiculous. We must recognise the power we have access to. And use it.
