Noah’s Ark (Full Size) - Sign to the Nations?
Some Doves may be aware of a project to build a full-size Noah’s Ark in Williamstown, Kentucky. A Christian friend recently sent me a news item on this project (2nd link below). Although being built in the United States, in many ways Australians are leading the way in this project. The main website for the project is the 1st link below.
This Ark Encounter project is being built at considerable cost and is due to open on 7 July 2016 - just three days after the United States enters its 7th period of 40 years since Independence in 1776!! To cap[ it off, the chief spokesman is Ken HAM!!
A miraculous sign?? While not the miraculous sign mentioned in Isaiah 66 (see Amplified quote below), the Lord Jesus Christ is drawing the world’s attention to His imminent return, and to judgment. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and was a preacher of grace - the door of the Ark was open to all!! However, only Noah’s family and three trophies of grace - the wives of Noah’s sons who gave up all, including their families, and became part of a new world after the Flood!!
Perhaps the Lord will use this Ark Encounter project to lead many to an encounter with Jesus, while the Door of Grace remains wide open!!
Isaiah 66: 18, 19: For I know their works and their thoughts. And the time is coming when I will gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see My glory. 19 And I will set up a [miraculous] sign among them, and from them I will send survivors to the nations - to Tarshish, Pul (Put), and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles and coastlands afar off that have not heard of My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare and proclaim My glory among the nations.
