Why does the Rapture happen in the "twinkling of an eye," rather than in slow-mo?

 

Let's talk about it.  What if the Rapture was as slow as the transporter effect in Star Trek?

 

Furthermore, what if the effect were from head to toe, in that direction?

 

Why, then, the last thing that anybody would see of you would be a "twinkling of the toes."

 

How silly!
