My brother sent me another article, this one about the 2300 evenings & mornings of Daniel 8:14.

It described various different views regarding those 2300 days.

I asked him about one other possibility:

What about if the 2300 days is the length of time from completing of the third temple, until the end of the abomination of desolation?

Daniel 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

 14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Isn't the total time to be 7 years, where the antichrist confirms the covenant?

That will be the Mosaic covenant, wouldn't it?

Where Israel will be allowed to rebuild the temple.

If it takes only 255 days to begin the sacrifices again, then that leaves 2300 days until the end of the 7 years.

2300 days includes 1040 days when they have the daily sacrifices, the first part of line 13.

It also includes the 1260 days of the abomination of desolation, the second part of line 13.

In the midst of the 7 years, he causes the sacrifices and oblations to cease.

That would have been after 1040 days when there had been sacrifices and oblations.

Which would have been after the initial 255 days from the confirmation of the covenant, until the sacrifices start.
