think it was for 17 years THAT JACOB WAS IN ISRAEL B4 HE DIED.. I think
Joseph told his brothers to go tell and get Jacob 'so he can see my glory''...........would need to see text.
So Jacob ''saw'' the glory of joseph for 17 years b4 he died. HIS death would picture the end of the nation of Israel in this world and a new beginning at the start of the millennium. Jacob's name was changed to Israel.
If 2033 is the end of this age (based on a 2000 year church age that started in 33 ad), then minus the 17 years is 2016.........which would be the year of the ''transformation'' in which the mortal body 'will be quickened in some'..........not all will sleep.....but some will be changed. That is all it says in I cor 15...not changed and go to heaven......just changed. This does not change the concept of the 'rapture' as is clearly mentioned in I Thes. 4.
''If the Spirit of God that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you , then he will Also quicken your mortal bodies''............meaning to make immortal. That was what happened to Jesus when he was resurrected and is the comparison mentioned by Paul. He will ALSO QUICKEN YOUR MORTAL BODIES...........ALSO ......MEANING LIKEWISE..........JUST AS, AS , AS HE DID JESUS.....else Why mention the Spirit resurrecting Christ? Christ was just not ''invigorated'' by the spirit .........but was ''made alive'' to immortality.
Paul is saying : THAT is what will happen to the overcomers who have the SAME Spirit in them that quickened Christ. ''likewise'' means in same fashion............ie a comparision. He will ''quicken'' our mortal bodies to glory.........just as He quickened Jesus' body to glory.
It is as simple as that.......most have never seen it. It is so clear. It is not just as most have thought.....just '' giving energy'' to our mortal bodies here on the earth.........no, no, no............it is the SAME quickening that Jesus received when He was resurrected from the dead!!!!!!!!!

quickening from a dead state/mortal to a non-dead

body.......still a body on this earth ''just like'' Jesus had after the
resurrection. Also in I Cor 15 paul said the
mystery is that not all would sleep, but some would be CHANGED IN a
nano-second.........to immortality. Nothing said about being caught up.
Paul has already dealt with the resurrection of the dead in the first
part of the chapter.! If you read the entire ch of
I cor. 15 you will see that the first part deals with the resurrection
of the body.............HOWEVER, when paul Next says, behold I am now
going to show you a mystery......he changed the subject. He has Already
explained the resurrection of the dead in Christ.........already!.
........now he says '' and now I will show you a mystery''...........he
had something new to say........different from what he had just
explained in detail.........here is the rest of the verses of I cor 15
where paul introduces a new subject.........a mystery......not the
resurrection of the dead.......BUT THE CHANGE OF THE LIVING..........NO
wonder paul said 'we shall not ALL sleep and be resurrected...........as
he had just explained.......but some will be changed.........while
living''!!!! Here is that part.........the quickening of those alive......not those dead.

This quickening is not so much for now.......but is more likely a specific event of quickening just as the event of Jesus being quickened to immortality was.
Will it happen 17 years before 2033/4?
Israel/Jacob the nation would ''see'' the glory on Joseph......the big events re the blood red tetrads have in most cases come ''just after'' the tetrads, or in some cases just before. 2016 would be one year after the final tetrad of 2015..........at Passover and tabernacles.
Consider this:
1994 started the end time count. maybe it represents the person of joseph at age 17/18 going to be sold in Egypt. 12 years pass to age 30............. 7 more good years. 2 more bad years...........joseph now age 39. he is revealed to his bros and to Jacob at that time.
from age 39, he had not seen Jacob since age 17. that is a period of 22 years ......
now if 1994 was the marker year, and represents when joseph was a slave in Egypt....ie when it started.....then he sees Jacob 22 years later which is 2016.........this is when Jacob saw/heard about Joseph's glory in Egypt........this world. he ''sees'' it for 17 more years b4 he dies in 2033.......start of millennium.
And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.....where he would see for himself the glory of joseph. |
IF JACOB REPRESENTS NATION OF ISRAEL/NOTE HIS NAME CHANGED TO ISRAEL/ THEN THE FINAL ''WANDERING'' IN THE DESSERT FOR 40 YEARS BEFORE ENTERING THE PROMISED LAND WOULD START............GET THIS...........40 YEARS BEFORE THE END OF THE AGE OF 2034. Israel the physical nation will see the glory on Joseph, type of church overcomers who are translated for 17 years before entering Millennium ( Jacob dies then.......meaning a new start........the old nation of Israel is no more, having entered the millennium).
joseph goes into slavery in 1994..........away from Jacob. he is reunited with Jacob in the following time frame.
age 17/18 goes to slavery. age 30 promoted in Egypt. 7 years good years plus 2 bad years puts him at age 39.
Jacob then 'hears of and sees his GLORY''. TIME ELAPSED IS FROM AGE 39 MINUS AGE 17/18 OR 22 YEARS.
