"Brother Frank, you've landed on another difficult topic.  God loves those who are wholly dedicated to Him."

Hello, John and Doves,

Brother Frank, you’ve landed on another difficult topic.  God loves those who are wholly dedicated to Him.  The last time I looked,

the First Commandment still reads like this:

Ten Commandments for the Covenant Community

1Then God gave the people all these instructionsa:

2“I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.

3“You must not have any other god but me.

Exodus 20:1-3  NLT

Again, the scriptures read like this:

         Asa’s Religious Reforms

1Then the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded, 2and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. 3For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach them, and without the Law to instruct them. 4But whenever they were in trouble and turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him out, they found him.

5“During those dark times, it was not safe to travel. Problems troubled the people of every land. 6Nation fought against nation, and city against city, for God was troubling them with every kind of problem. 7But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.”

8When Asa heard this message from Azariah the prophet, he took courage and removed all the detestable idols from the land of Judah and Benjamin and in the towns he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. And he repaired the altar of the Lord, which stood in front of the entry room of the Lord’s Temple.

9Then Asa called together all the people of Judah and Benjamin, along with the people of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them. For many from Israel had moved to Judah during Asa’s reign when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. 10The people gathered at Jerusalem in late spring, during the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.

2 Chronicles 15:1-9  NLT

And yet, it is written,

40“But at last my people will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors for betraying me and being hostile toward me. 41When I have turned their hostility back on them and brought them to the land of their enemies, then at last their stubborn hearts will be humbled, and they will pay for their sins. 42Then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. 43For the land must be abandoned to enjoy its years of Sabbath rest as it lies deserted. At last the people will pay for their sins, for they have continually rejected my regulations and despised my decrees.

44“But despite all this, I will not utterly reject or despise them while they are in exile in the land of their enemies. I will not cancel my covenant with them by wiping them out, for I am the Lord their God. 45For their sakes I will remember my ancient covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of all the nations, that I might be their God. I am the Lord.”

46These are the decrees, regulations, and instructions that the Lord gave through Moses on Mount Sinai as evidence of the relationship between himself and the Israelites.

Leviticus 26:40-46  NLT

The balance point:

         11This is a trustworthy saying:

If we die with him,

we will also live with him.

12If we endure hardship,

we will reign with him.

If we deny him,

he will deny us.

13If we are unfaithful,

he remains faithful,

for he cannot deny who he is.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 NLT

~Blessings,

Mike

TH re left behind witnesses"

This has been brought up before by others, who knows.

About a year ago someone posted a dream about seeing people out of place in their neighborhood on the coast of Oregon.

She said it felt like those who appeared in Jerusalem after the Resurrection.

They were passing thru and were gone

I can see that happening too

But, you know, there are also those Christians who did not heed God's warning, those who had wandered away or had never really taken their walk seriously, those who had compromised

It will be very difficult for those.
