""Knowledge and the fear of YHVH" and the squeeze theorem"

Hello, John and Doves,

Are we amiss when we decide to uncover the exact date of the Rapture?

It would only be sin [Greek:  to miss the target, as in archery] if we are seeking knowledge to its own end, and trying to bypass the fear of YHVH.

It is written,

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7  NIV

Instruction begins with the Book of Instruction, the Torah [teaching].

I wouldn’t even be writing this letter, unless it was a matter of life and death—to all of us.

It is written,

The Offer of Life or Death

11Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. 12It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” 13Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” 14No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.

15See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

17But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.

19This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Deuteronomy 30:11-19  NIV

“Crossing the Jordan” is a traditional metaphor for the death of a Christian.  This is not so different from Paul’s concept of the Rapture.  [1 Corinthians 15:35-58]

Here, then, is the full text of a great teaching on the fear of YHVH, the foundation of all spiritual knowledge.

Knowledge and the Fear of YHVH

That having been said, all our guesses for the date of the Rapture form a mathematical sequence, inevitably converging upon the actual date of the Rapture.

It is written,

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:14  NIV

This is a signpost for the Second Coming [Acts 1:6-11].

Of course, it is a mathematical concept [squeeze theorem] that tells us that, if a<b<c, then as a gets closer to c, b must get closer to c.

In our example, a=when we are now; b=the exact moment of the Rapture; c=the Second Coming.

At this writing, this author (c’est moi) believes that Yeshua Ha Mashiach must declare the 70th Jubilee year [Daniel 9:24 and Leviticus 25] on Yom Kippur 5776—Wednesday 23 September 2015, the sixth of the LORD’s annual feasts [Hebrew:  moadim=appointed times] having begun the previous evening.

Thus, we can say that the Rapture must occur within the next 615 days [from 16 January 2014], according to this scenario.

In that case, it is entirely possible that Revelation 8 through Revelation 19 will occur within a matter of a few months, days, or hours.

We are on final approach to the first lunar eclipse of the Tetrad, and with great anticipation, we read:

24“But in those days, following that distress,

“ ‘the sun will be darkened,

and the moon will not give its light;

25the stars will fall from the sky,

and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’c

26“At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.27And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

28“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.29Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that itd is near, right at the door.30Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.31Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The Day and Hour Unknown

32“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.33Be on guard! Be alerte! You do not know when that time will come.34It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.

35“Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.36If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.37What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’ ”

Mark 13:24-37  NIV

Nevertheless, it is written,

1Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters,a we don’t really need to write you. 2For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 3When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.

4But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.b5For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. 6So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. 7Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. 8But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

9For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. 10Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. 11So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-9  NLT
