DOES ISAIAH 28:18 TELL US THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA IS IMMINENTIn a recent Debka file article linked below there is a quote that speaks volumes in regards to the fulfillment of many Bible prophecies dealing with the breaking of God’s everlasting inheritance covenant and the “dividing of His land.”It reads, “US Ambassador Dan Shapiro precisely defined the current state of the negotiating process when he said in an interview to Kol Israel Radio Tuesday, January 7, 2014, that the proposed US framework in which new elements have been introduced is not designed to generate an interim accord BUT “A FINAL AGREEMENT” on all the issues at the center of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.”Did you read that? A “Final Agreement” to break God’s “everlasting inheritance covenant” is being designed for that sole purpose, with a yet undetermined date to be announced to seal it!BEHOLD, GOD HAS A MIGHTY AND STRONG ONEIn the Book of Isaiah 28:1-29 a detailed account is given of this “covenant with death and Sheol”.The God of Israel makes it very clear in verse 18 that THIS COVENANT with death will be annulled and THEIR AGREEMENT with Sheol will NOT stand when an overflowing scourge of Isaiah 28:2 passes through.It will beat down and trodden underfoot the President, who wears the “proud crown” and his Secretary of State and Ambassadors who are ruling over the leaders in Jerusalem and as we read later He doesn’t say anything about waiting nine months to annul it either!The citizens of the US referenced as the house of Ephraim in the text are vicariously accountable for the actions of their President and will face the scourge. We also read this is not a 4 to 10 hour Hurricane, but that “as often as it passes through it will take you; for morning by morning it will pass through, by day and by night; and it will be sheer terror to understand the message”The good news is always intertwined with the bad. We read “In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people, 6 and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate” Isaiah 28:5-6That “battle” these remnant face is when they come into the wilderness from the four corners of the earth, we read of that in Ezekiel 20:33-38A TESTED STONE SHALL STAND UPMore good news is found here, Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'Whoever believes will not be in haste.' 17 And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter." Isaiah 28:16-17This “tested stone” is the same of Micah 5:2-5 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. 3 Therefore he shall give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth; then the rest of his brothers shall return to the people of Israel. 4 And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth. 5 And he shall be their peace. When the Assyrian comes into our land and treads in our palaces, then we will raise against him seven shepherds and eight princes of men.Read Ezekiel 38:8-11, Gog/the Assyrian will make an attempt to come into the wilderness and attack the “remnant” living securely that has just been brought in from the nations. Notice God uses the same weapons; earthquake, flooding, hailstones, fire and fireballs/asteroids. Ezekiel 38:18-23.Those 7 shepherds/angels and 8 princes of men will be raised against Gog and his army, Ezekiel 39:1-5Again from the Debka File article linked below; “After Netanyahu and Abu Mazen affirm this paper, it will be possible to extend the negotiating time frame for a final accord by at least another year and so get past the original nine-month deadline which expires at the end of April”Although extending negotiating time for a final accord another year to April 2015 "and so get past" is being bantered about, IT WON’T HAPPEN.Sometime before April 29, 2014, she who is in labor will give birth and he shall stand in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God, and shepherd his flock dwelling securely.HE WILL ASSEMBLE AND GATHER10 In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples--of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious. 11 In that day the LORD will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. 12 He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 13 The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart, and those who harass Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim. 14 But they shall swoop down on the shoulder of the Philistines in the west, and together they shall plunder the people of the east. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.As these final texts show destruction and redemption at the ‘second Exodus’ will go hand and hand, let us make sure we get under His wings, an Ezekiel 33:6 watching one, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
