God is Everywhere

Many of the posters here and believers elsewhere have experienced many “timely” revelations when studying God’s Word or in prayer. We often connect these revelations to the timing of His coming. This is what we watch for, in faith. When we find these things can we take it as a confirmation of…timing? Perhaps, but we believe God is everywhere, correct? Then why are we surprised to find him when we look? This is growth and relationship. If this is a new experience for you, other’s of us know how exciting and challenging this can be. Many of us have been drawn to explore God’s timing and watch for His coming through His Spirit. When we are, we see many new things. Where we have erred is by drawing too firm a conclusion, especially when we interpret what we see in terms of our time reference.

I am still watching and seeking signs of His coming and timing. Praise God! It is electrifying when we successfully follow the lead of the Holy Spirit to growth and revelation. I have learned from reading other people’s experiences that I see God working in each person on their own personal journey. Many times what we find is the evidence of God’s presence revealed to us. Not necessarily a direct answer to the question in our human mind. Watchers on the wall have much in common so we find each other on Fivedoves, much like those drawn to mission work meet each other in the mission field. I am coming to believe that much of what we experience as confirmation of timing, in our mindset, is often the essential discovery that God is already there; working with us and leading us to grow. God is there in whatever manner we study His Word and pray for understanding. God is everywhere, right?

So, this is written to convey a perspective that we should not be surprised when we find evidence of His design or involvement in any subject we study. Our eyes have been opened, so this should be a frequent experience. Also, take this as encouragement! Even if it turns out not to be the answer you thought it was. He is coming soon. Pray for the peace of His assurance and He will see you through.
