A Prophetic Dream from 2008

 

Back in 2008 while pastoring a church in Washington DC, I had a prophetic dream about two black bears in a house full of people (some of which were my family). One bear was a big mama bear sniffing around and the other was her baby cub. As I walked in from outside, I saw everyone all "goo goo" over the baby cub saying how cute it was. They were all oblivious to the very dangerous situation before them.

 

I immediately warned them that if mama bear ever noticed that they were between her and her baby cub, she would attack and tear them to pieces. Somehow, I managed to kind of push everyone down a long hallway into a back room. And right as I was shutting the door, mama bear hit the door with full force. I somehow held the door against the massive bear and kept her from killing us. Later I realized that part of dream meant I had supernatural help from God because there is no way I could have held that door in my own strength.

 

At the time of the "bear dream," the U.S. housing market had just crashed and the stock market lost almost half its value. The massive government bailouts staved off a total collapse of our economy, but it has only delayed the inevitable. As I wondered what the dream meant, I heard Neil Cavuto on Fox News talking about the "bear market." It was at that moment that Lord said, "The crash of 2008 was baby bear, but mama bear is coming."
