"Reply to Gino "being ready""

Hi Gino,

Thanks for your article, it is very thought provoking.  The “look up, and lift up your head” in Luke 21:28 could then be considered obedience to what Jesus said!  Would it take faith to look up at the sound of the trumpet?  Would only those in Christ hear the trumpet, and then look up?

I’ve seen much discussion about being ready for the blessed hope, by being worthy & thereby being in the bride.

What about if being ready also has an element of faith?

When Jesus performed miracles, there always seemed to be an element of faith.

That faith was demonstrated when the person did what Jesus told them to do.

Standing up, stretching their hand, washing in the pool of Siloam, going to the priest, filling the vessels, coming to him on the water, etc.

So what about when the trumpet blows, and the Lord calls us up to meet him in the air?

What about for us who are alive and remain, will that involve an element of faith?

What if it is only by faith that we go up?

What if we have little or no faith, do we then remain here?

Didn’t Jesus ask whether he would find faith on the earth when he comes?

If it does involve an element of faith, how many of us actually have that kind & measure of faith?
