"The Comet Ison...His Star?"
I have been intrigued by the comet Ison ever since I became aware that it was going to reach perihelion on November 28th. Not only is the day that Americans celebrated Thanksgiving Day, but it was also the first day of Chanukah. This convergence of Thanksgiving and Chanukah has not occurred since the year 1888 and according to some will not occur again for thousands of years. Comet Ison was at its closest approach to earth on December 26th of 2013. That was exactly nine years from the day that the giant tsunami brought great destruction to countries around the Indian Ocean.
Recently I downloaded a Bible Code app to my iPod for the KJV New Testament. I did a search for the name "Comet Ison". The very first occurrence started in Matthew 2:2 where we read "Saying, where is he that is born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.". Could Comet Ison be the modern day equivalent of the star that the wise men saw over 2000 years ago? Let's hope so. The coming blood moon tetrad in the years 2014 and 2015 are also powerful signs of our Saviour's soon returns.
Maranatha,
