"Noah and the Flood"

Noah and the Flood

Luke 17:26-27 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. THEN THE FLOOD CAME and destroyed them all.”

Matthew 24: 37-41 “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the FLOOD CAME and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.”

Genesis 7:4 “Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

It is not the date that the flood began that is significant in this illustration, but the pattern of numbers. The Lord is telling us to look for this pattern, a 7-day period, followed by a 40-day period. The 7-day warning that Noah received from the Lord represents the 7 days of Passover. Jesus resurrected on the Feast of Firstfruits and then appeared to His disciples for 40 days before ascending to Heaven. In 2013, we have a 7-day Passover Feast, with the true Feast of Firstfruits falling on the 6th day of Passover (Resurrection Sunday), with the 7th day of Passover starting at sundown in Israel on Sunday night, and then a 40-day period until the observance of the “Day of Ascension”, representing the Ark being lifted up to its highest point above the earth by the 40th day. When were Noah and his family taken into the Ark (representing a Tabernacle of safety)? By the 7th day and before the 40 days of judgment. Noah entered the Ark and then the judgment began. The Raptured Bride of Christ will be taken into the “Ark” for protection before the “Flood” begins.

Daniel 9:26 “The end will come LIKE A FLOOD: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.”

Revelation 12:15-17 “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away BY THE FLOOD. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and SWALLOWED UP THE FLOOD which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
