Gun control solution:
 
REQUIRE that all adults aged 21 and up (as long as they are not mentally handicapped and you would know if they are mentally handicapped because they would be on government assistance!) carry a gun, after going through training.  That way, when the CRAZIES GET GUNS (and they always do figure out a way to do it!) everyone ELSE will have protection against THEM!  Besides, it would also keep a corrupt government from trying every way that they know how - to enslave their citizens! The only exception would be those who have been convicted of a felony in their past.

P.S.

    No one would run into a theatre and shoot half the occupants because more than half the occupants would be armed!
    No one would run into a school and shoot 20 children because ALL THE TEACHERS would be armed!
    No one would invade your home to rob it, because all the adults inside would have a gun and know how to use it!
