I understand that General Eisenhower, when he saw the Nazi concentration camps and the condition of the Jews there at the end of the war, said "Take alot of photographs....because SOME DAY, people will actually deny the fact that this happened."
 
I beleive he also made the German residents in near-by towns walk through the concentration camps, to show them what they had allowed to happen "right next door" to their own homes......
