"The Great Privilege Of Watchers"

Dear John and Doves,
What a great privilege that has been bestowed upon us to be watchers on the wall of these last days. To think that in all of the 6000 years of creation we were born for such a time as this. To be awake at this very hour, to witness prophecy of such importance, unfold before our very eyes? If given the choice out of all of history I believe I would choose to be alive in these days and the day of the great catching away of the church. What a glorious way to arrive in Heaven.

I believe it would be Gods desire for all His people to experience these final acts, rejoicing in every part of His triumphant culmination of history. I pray that it may soon be so. I know I would be greatly disappointed and a little embarrassed to arrive in heaven knowing that I had missed so much even to date, simply by not adhering to His word to watch (For you do not know the day or the hour). I must admit I do suffer some shame that I took these scriptures to watch so lightly in the past.

Just the other day I was thinking, it’s strange how some people (myself once being one), somehow think because nobody knows the day or the hour there’s no sense in watching, when the bible says that is exactly why you should watch. We wouldn’t have to watch if we knew the day and the hour e.g. XX/XX/XX. No watching involved you’d just have to wait. In the workings of God we see mysterious merging’s of Gods sovereignty and our responsibility, in this case God stirring us to look up and us to remain sober and to watch observing the signs of the times. Well enough of my ramblings for now, thank you Lord for this humbling privilege and thank you everyone here on the wall.

Maranatha
