"Frank Molver balance
YOU ARE RIGHT"
Hi Frank
There definetly should be balance in a Christian life. I am not
saying a Christian should go out and be a drunk and gossip and
whatever ones weakness is. I am saying if a person believes the
Gospel that Jesus died for his or her sins and that he rose from
the grave, if a person really believes Jesus took his or hers
place on the cross for all past present and future sins, then
that person is sealed with the Holy Spirit. God has grabbed hold
of that person and holds him securely. The sin this person
committs as a Christian believer will not in any way shape or
form take away the security he/she has in Jesus Christ. God
promised he will not let go.
Now about your statement on The New Covenant. First of all this
covenant was not in affect until AFTER Jesus died. So in the
four Gospels they had to believe in Jesus and still follow the
Law of Moses. After Jesus died he sent the Apostles out to
preach repent and be baptize. If you look at the message Peter
preached in Acts 2 they were to repent of killing the Messiah.
Repent means to change their mind. And then they were to be
baptized with water. This was the message preached until God
called out the Apostle Paul to teach and be the apostle to the
Gentiles.God tells us through the aposlte Paul that he BLINDED
the Jews for a while.
After the rapture, in which every true believer will be
raptured, the Gospel of the Kingdom will be back in affect. YOU
ARE EXACTLY RIGHT God does not make it harder for Jews during
this time period we are living in. Everyone, Jew or Gentile, has
the option of this FREE Gift. But after the rapture a person
must hope to be counted as worthy. Before the rapture, a person
IS counted worthy because of the faith in Jesus. Not of any work
or that person becomes boastful. After the rapture a person is to
help their neighbors in need and NOT take the mark of the beast
to allow their faith to produce works.
So to clear it up.
1-I am not dividing up the Jews from the Gentiles. During any
dispensation both can come to salvation by God's way.His way is
different at different times. It just so happens God put
BLINDERS on the Jews for now. Very few have found the way. I did
not put blinders on the Jews, God did it.
2-A person can be saved ONLY by the way God has said he can be
saved and he has a different way now than he did when Moses was
the spokesman. I think we can agree on that. IF you agree to
that then you agree that there are at least two ways God has
used in the past to deal with mankind. Where most people miss
the division is where God called out Paul with a NEW MYSTERY
GOSPEL that no-one knew beforehand. I did not make that up it is
all throughout the writings of Paul.
The scriptures do not contradict as long as you do divide the
Word by knowing who is being written to.
How do you reconcile what Paul said a person who has no works is
still righteous because of his faith verses what James said
faith without works is dead? How do you say that Paul and the
other aposltes preached the same Gospel when Paul says he did
not come to baptize but Jesus sent the apostles out to baptize?
They were given DIFFERENT marching orders.
And I will leave it at this:
How can you explain that Paul promised the people at Corinth,
which is a carnal church, that they would eventually lose that
corrupt body and get a new incorrupt body. He told them that
they would still be in the rapture even though they were a
church full of envy and sin. Guilty of 1 sin makes you guilty of
all if you are trying to keep the law to make you perfect.
I truly hope you understand God's way and put away the silly
pride of thinking you can be worthy enough by your own merit
when that would be impossible.I truly understand your feelings
on the "balance" and wondering how God can save that old drunk.
But thank God he did give that old drunk a way to be saved. God
will work on any believer that has believed in the Gospel of
grace he shown to Paul. We are to try to let God live through us
but unfortunatley a lot of believers are just like the church at
Corinth. BABES IN CHRIST. But at least they are IN Christ.
thanks
