"Another End Time Puzzle Piece?"

Dear Doves,

Curious about the amount of snowfall in Jerusalem,   I googled and this article came up --   http://www.globalpost.com/dispatches/globalpost-blogs/groundtruth/snowfall-jerusalem-temporarily-cools-tension-again

What is interesting about this article was the following paragraph (particularly the highlighted portions) towards the end which I quote for easy reference :

“The peace process in trouble, Prime Minister Netanyahu struggling to survive and holding the line against any agreement with the Palestinians, Washington trying to pressure him, and various political factions vying to build a coalition to unseat him. Almost every angle that was in play 15 years ago is in play today during the ongoing election in Jerusalem. It all seems frozen in time, like Bill Murray’s ‘Groundhog Day,’ only with Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.”

As we all know in 2 Kings 20:1-11 Hezekiah’s life was coming to an end but God extended it by 15 yrs when he prayed and thereafter his son, Manasseh succeeded him.  I strongly encourage you to read details of Manasseh’s rule in  2 Chronicles 33:1-18.  It’s truly an interesting read.   Anyway, in a nutshell, Manassah did great evil in the eyes of God.  So, the Lord brought the army commanders of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh prisoner, put a hook in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon. In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors. And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.   Thereafter,  Manasseh repented of his ways and walked with God and did much to undo his earlier evils.

Somewhat like King Hezekiah, Netanyahu’s political career, according to the article, was also threatened to a point of death in 1998 but he survived and 15 years later, he is now yet again at the elections.   The  remark about “Time is frozen” is also very interesting as the sign given to Hezekiah for his recovery also involved “ Time” which in that case was moved backwards by 10 degrees.

Is Abba Father using this article to highlight a piece of His end times puzzle to us?  Would we see history repeats itself with Israel going through end time events mirroring (at least to a large degree) those recorded in 2 Kings & 2 Chronicles?

Shalom,

Mary C
