"Psalm 18 Speaks of the Rapture"

Dear John,

It has been several days since I read Psalm 18 but it haunts me as a possible rapture Psalm.  It is, first of all, one of my favorite Psalms, I have joked that if I were to die (which the Lord has personally assured me I will not do but rather be raptured)... but the point of my family joke was that I wanted the whole Psalm on a Tombstone...hmmm.

Anyway, as the Lord and I were dialoging (as we do throughout the day), I had said to Him, "I NEED some encouragement about the nearness of Your coming.  I am feeling the 'wearing down of the saints' rather keenly."

So, when Psalm 18 appeared in my read through the Bible program, I was sparked by a love for it.  I love the Lord's juxtapositioning of His compassion and His righteousness in it.  When I read,

v.16 "He reached down from heaven and took hold of me; He pulled me out of deep waters.  He rescued me from my powerful enemy (and from those who hated me [I am unaware of anyone hating me except Satan] for they were too strong for me."
I commented back to the Lord, "The only way that is going to happen is if You rapture us!"  He seemed to reply, "That is exactly the point!  I am about to do just that."

Because I often just keep to myself things that could actually be of encouragement to others, I am sending this one on.  I hope it hits its mark for someone else.

Love to you and yours, John.  Thank you so much for your devoted faithfulness.
