"Mike W re finding balance in the worthiness issue"

The problem with this worthiness issue seems to me to be often unbalanced
Some would have you think it is near impossible, others would have you think you can live like a drunken sailor.
However one of the biggest problems I see are those who seem to think they can divide up the New Testement
This part is for the Jews, this part is for the Gentiles
The New Testement is the New Covenant, the whole thing
The New Covenant is for everyone, all of it
You can not say that we are not accountable to certain scriptures because you think that is only for the Jews
God did not make it more difficult for Jews to be saved, it is the same salvation that covers both of us

As 1 Cor post stated, look at these scriptures, being only one of many examples

1 Timothy 4:16
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears WANT to hear.
