Below is an email...pardon spelling.......that i just sent to brittany. her dental consult is on THIS COMING tuesday....so please keep this in mind in your prayers. Brittany freeked out in a dentist's office 2 weeks ago, when one dentist had her ready.....and was going to give her IV...in her arm sedation. She just freeked out and had been out partying the night b4 and had even drank soda before the procedure. So thank God that the dentist did not do the procedure because it could have been fatal.
 
I ask you all for prayers  that this will be done and approved by our insurance for inpatient hospitalization and that brittany will cooperate.

Back many years ago i had a malignant melanoma on my neck. The local dermatologist did a procedure in his office with local anesthisia.........just shots in the neck. But, it needed more surgery....so i was referred to a plasic surgeion.
 
He told me, he normally did the surgery, which was deeper, in his office or a surgery outpatient facility using aneshesia in the arm. It just about puts someone to sleep, but not totally. This is what the dentist in san marcos was going to do for you.
 
However, i told my plastic surgeon that i was a chicken and wanted general anethesia where i was put to sleep so i would not know what was going on.
 
You are scheduled to see the dentist on tues for a consultation. I have been working very hard with our insurance to see if they will pay for the removal of your wisdom teeth in a hospital setting. I should know next week.
 
As u know a dentist cannot pull your teeth out without anesthesia. If i were you and if the insurance will pay for the hosptial or outpatient surgical center, that is what i would want so as to not be aware of anything.
 
Anesthesia is very serious, whether in the arm or under full anesthesia......it can be deadly if you are on drugs...........~!.....and you cannot drink anything hours b4 surgery..........again it can be fatal.
 
So, you are going to have to cooperate with the dentist and mom and dad to get this done. you have to follow directions and cannot be on drugs as it can be dangerous or fatal when you have anesthesia.
 
If u allow me to come with u and mom to the dentist I can help you to understand the process so that you will not be afraid.
 
Before the procedure...........IF the dentist will still do it..........you can have some strong medication to start u relaxing..........maybe Haldol.....then they try to relax u more with laughing gas. And then If the insurance approves of payment, and u get to go to a hospital the professional anesthesioloist will put you to sleep where u are not feeling any pain and not even aware of the procedure.
 
the dentists are concerned u are using drugs and may want to do a drug screen first to make sure you have no build up of drugs or alcohol in your blood......for your safety~!
 
Anyway, the consultation ....to just speak to the dentist....is on tuesday. you cannot miss this appt. you cannot be late. and u must be pleasant in the office.
 
Let mom pick u up  or stay the night here in your room. you cannot party all night before seeing the dentist and especially b4 the surgery.......
