"Re: The Time "GAP" between the first 3 1/2 years and the final 3 1/2"

Charles Holler wrote, "I believe I have found a scenario that fits the 10-29-08 thru 9-23-15 timeline, but please give me any input or correction that applies. I first started thinking of how they missed Jesus the first time and I've heard it presented as like looking at two mountain peaks but missing the valley in between and this is why they thought He was coming as a Conquering King the first time, but we now of coarse know there was a two thousand year valley between the mountain peaks. What if the same thing applies here because I don't remember any where in the scriptures where it talks about a seven year period....it's always two sets of time, times, and a half of time, or two sets of 1260 days, or two sets of 42 months. We might have a time gap between and I might have found it."

Several Scriptures refer to a seven-year period. One is the seven years that Jacob labored for his bride, in the Genesis story. It is a type of the time that Christ waits for his Church to be completed, which includes the whole of the present age. Another seven years is the duration of the plague of camels, after Israel came to the promised land, when the camels were as numerous as grasshoppers, and consumed the produce of the earth. [Jud. 6:1-6] Another is the seven years when the people of Israel burn the weapons of the armies of Gog and Magog for fuel in Ezek. 39. And, the 70th week of Daniel 9:24-27, in which Christ confirms his covenant with many is another example. I suggest these all have a harmonious symbolic meaning. They allude to the same period, which includes two three and a half year periods, first the ministry of Jesus, (a literal three and a half years) and the second, a symbolic "time, times and a half" of Daniel 7:25 and 12:7. Together they make a "week" or "seven times." It also corresponds to the last of four periods of seven times in Lev. 26. The last half-week on the 70th week is not measured in earth years because it applies to the heavenly Jerusalem, not the earthly one.

Rev. 12:6 and 14 mentions two periods of three and a half years, when the woman flees to the wilderness. The woman is the church. For a discussion, see: The woman’s second flight to the wilderness in Revelation 12
