"The pale horse of Revelation"

I had a dream a couple years ago, about the pale horse of Revelation.   I am not one to have vivid and clear dreams but I have held this one close to my heart as the assurance given in the dream has sustained me when fear threatens to overcome me.   Here it is:

I was walking down a hill on a trail with a man next to me.    I knew in the dream that walking with this man was something we were used to doing.  I wasn’t looking at him but rather I was looking ahead to where the path led.   I could see a grove of trees ahead of us.   In the dark shade of the trees was another man, standing on the far side of a horse that he was putting a saddle on.     The man had on riding boots that were black, with his pant legs tucked into the boots and a hood on his head that blocked view of his face.  The horse was pale, with lower legs that were translucent.   I clearly did not like the deep shadows of the grove and was filled with foreboding because of the pale horse and the faceless man next to it.  I knew it was the pale horse of Revelation.

The man next to me, with whom I had been walking, said to me “Don’t worry, we aren’t going down there, that isn’t for you to live and experience” and with that, he led me on a path that up until that moment in the dream I had not noticed.

This path veered off to the left of the one that we were walking on.   It went up a hill of grass, of a remarkable shade of vibrant green that felt like life.   While downhill at the grove was dark and gloomy, the green hillside was bathed in sunlight that also felt like life.   The dome of sky above the green grass was so blue, it seemed to have depth to it, like 3 D.   I couldn’t see up over the hill, but I knew life and HOME were there.   I felt totally at peace and secure with the man I was walking beside, like a child walking with his or her father.

When I woke up, it was with the sense that I although I will face many things that life here on fallen planet earth throws at us, I had assurance that I never would face the pale horse release.  Neither will His Bride.  That is not for us to live or experience!

Come Lord Jesus, your Bride so desires you to come!
